Lacuna Coil vocalist Cristina Scabbia has announced in a Facebook post today that she is leaving the band. In her heart-felt post Cristina writes:
Dear all,
I know this message will disappoint so many of you and believe me, I am dying inside as I am writing this.
It took a LONG time to think about this all.
After months of recapping all I did in these years I realised I need a deep change.
Right now.
I am doing new things and the experience made me realize this could be my next step in life and I want to take the chance in time, as I always did.
I want to thank you all for following me throughout this whole adventure of 20 years with Lacuna Coil and I hope I will meet you again somewhere along the road.
I will keep you updated on every step and you’ll have news from me soon.
I want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, my brothers Andi, Maki, Didi and Ryan for being the best partners in crime I could have asked for.
